About me
Pingtimeout.fr is a technical blog created by Pierre Laporte.
The opinions presented in this blog are my own and not those of my employer.
I work on Java performance since 2012. Today, I am employed by Datastax, as a senior software engineer. I implement high-level performance tests, replicating client environments. I also help developers and QA profile their applications, in order to identify bottlenecks. I write code in Java, Scala, Bash and a bit of Clojure.
I like facing new challenges. My curiosity led me to work in new domains such as systems architecture, technical debt management, load testing and performance tuning and mobile applications. I particularly like solving performance issues and JVM tuning.
In 2013, I gave training on Java Performance Tuning with Kirk Pepperdine.
